hi guys
My main computer has died, so i have decided im finally gonna try building my own pc. all i have really done inside a pc was done back when i was 16(7 years ago), so im a bit rusty.
so my budget is about 700-750 bucks. i was hoping to use an amd cpu, and the system will be used to play Black ops,EVE online,Battlefield, and SC2.

Any help would be appreciated.

Only real issue I see is that he asked for an amd cpu which this build completely ignores :3

For the future of your pc brdn1000 this is what you have the option of doing

Whenever bd cpu releases and you feel the price is fair enough,

have some money saved up and buy you

1 more 6870 hawk to run in 2-way crossfire
the bd cpu
a 750w psu (antec high current gamer would go great with the coolermaster case I suggested)

In total you will spend around $600 for pretty much a brand new build that runs better than two 560's in sli with a godly i7 cpu.

Atm with the 955 and the 6870 your pc is pretty much 1 level below mine in performance

I have the 965 with a msi 6950 twin frozr III and for black ops and bf2/bc2/bf3 my pc will be running them fine and so will yours.

Bf3 we probably wont see max settings achieved with a single card setup but once you and I add the 2nd card to our systems it will be godlyness all around xD

Unlike you I will be spending about $500 just for mobo/bd cpu and then another $280 for my 2nd gpu Q_Q all around end of this year or early next year.

That is what happens when you buy a 965BE in oct 09 lol.. I haven't regretted purchasing it once though ^_^

didn't know he really wanted a AMD processor, i just read that he was hoping to use an AMD, but why go for AMD right now if intel are currently ahead?
