Hey Guys,

So I finally got everything locked and loaded with my rig except for my VGA. I would love to get my hands on an EVGA GTX 580, but right now that doesn't look like it's going to happen, so I have to make a choice between these two. :(

(I couldn't find a side by side comparison.)

EVGA 460 GTX SE

So on the surface, they look about the same to me (I'm not very computer savvy, I just like to kill things! :p) but I did notice this:

* NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti
------------------------
981 MHz GPU
192 CUDA Cores

* NVIDIA GTX 460 SE
-----------------------
648 MHz GPU
288 Processing Cores

I heard a lot of negative feedback about the 460 SE, being a "gimped" version of the 460 GTX, but not so much about the 550 Ti SC. Does this mean the 550 is better?

So if you guys had to choose between these two, which would you go for?

Thanks Guys.

depends a bit on gaming rez, i would lean to 768 ( I own the gigabyte model with dual fans,, SUPER quiet) it is good for gaming on 22" monitors and 720 panels,, however the SE model does a bit better on higher resolutions,,, I would probably still stay with the 768 and overclock it a bit.
550 is much slower card than the other 2
