I'm gonna be purchasing either 2 stick of these-

OR

2 sticks of these-

My mobo-
ASRock Z77 Extreme 4

My question-
I do know that my mobo supports dual channel mem configurations.

Now, If I buy 2 identical sticks of either of those above will my mobo be able to use the dual channel mem feature with those sticks?

So tell me which of those RAM models above supports dual channel mem config when used in identical pairs (i.e., 2 sticks of individual models)?

PS: These mems are not dual channel kits, they are single stick 4GB dimms & that's the reason why I'm asking this question

PLZ HELP!!!

Either combination will work for Dual Channel, it's just not ideal, like you already seem to know, since neither will be a matched set and problems might arise (BSOD's and general instability). Still, it's always best to get a Dual Channel kit to avoid those potential problems with the unmatched modules, and I STRONGLY suggest getting a Dual Channel kit if you can. You'll be guaranteed no issues then.

I know man....I am just so pissed off because they don't have any dual channel kits available of any brand RAM in their store (had a chat with them)

So I have no other option other than to buy 2 sticks of any of those that I linked in 1st post.

I just need to know if both of them support dual channel mem configs or is there one in them that doesn't support it?

Like I said, they'll both work, I just can't guarantee total full-time stability (if you ever have random BSOD's or strange crashes, that would be the first thing I would blame).

They don't have this kit though? http://mdcomputers.in/index.php?route=product/product&path=104_110_134&product_id=256

Solution

He's talking about using two of either of the modules he linked, not just one, but that kit, as well as the one I linked is still a better option.

And the kit I linked appears to be in stock, unless you won't be getting it from there.
