Hi,
My PC is HP p6230f
I have question regarding disable the onboard video card from bois to select the PCIe as a primary video card.
The questions is: If I set a primary video to the PCIe without installing a video card in the PCIe slot, and restart my pc to start windows, Am I going to see the onboard video card disabled??
Actually I tried it and when windows boot to start I still keep gettting the onboard viedo setting, although I changed the bois setting to the PCIe 16

IS this normal or indicate a problem??

thanks in advance

When I had my HP a couple years ago I didn't even need to disable the onboard GPU.It should be Auto.Just insteret the GPU,make sure all nesseasary cabales are connected and you should be good to go.

If you disable the On Board GPU but don't have a graphics card in it,it will disable still use the On Board GPU but it will show as disabled and probably on the lowest resoultion.

Basically, When I disable the on board, still get the onboard settings with the same high resolution
