is it good? im trying to get the most bang for my buck right now!, i don't want to do a serious OC but maybe like up to 3.8 or 4 GHz. so is this a good mobo or would you recommend something else?

More about mobo 2500k
  1. personally i stay away from microATX boards; generally less features and harder to work on being smaller.
    ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 $124.99

was the board to get until everyone fell in love with the Z77 chipset. still a great board.
  2. my case is a microatx though so i dont have much options.
  3. ok, got it. can't find fault with what you picked then unless you are looking to SLI/Xfire later . .but the added heat would be an issue unless you had good air flow in the case.
  4. well im a nooby when it comes to hardware still haha, what micro atx mobo would you purchase for yourself?
  5. i would consider this if i knew i would go multi cards on the graphics:
    ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M $134.99
this would be if i needed cheap and good:
    ASRock Z77 Pro4-M $109.99

the one you picked is the middle of the road choice i would think about.
