Asus P7P55D and Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB: freezing

Last response: in Memory

Recently, I bought this RAM from Corsair to upgrade/raplace my old one:

New one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB, 1600MHZ, 7-8-8-24, 1.5V

Old one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Kingston ValueRAM 2x2GB, 1333MHZ, 9-9-9-24, 1.5V

When I was runing my old RAM, all was working fine (no freezing, no boot problem, no crash, etc.). When I ran my new one for the first time, everything was good also (all booted normally, I could run it at the settings above with XMP Profile, etc.) but it began to freeze after an hour or two (nothing is moving, I only have a static picture of what I was doing). So, I had to force reboot. That's how it's started.

Here is what I tried from now after a tons of reading:

1- Set the DRAM frequency and DRAM timing manually (instead of using XMP Profile).
2- Increase the IMC Voltage (from 1,106V to 1,250V) and DRAM Voltage (from 1,546V to 1,600V).
3- Switch sticks side.
4- Test each stick and both together using different settings (Auto (1333 mhz, 9-9-9-24) and Manual (1600 mhz, 7-8-8-24)) with Memtest86+ (on boot CD and on Windows).
5- Stress test my system (CPU and RAM) with Prime95 and HyperPi.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1- Changed nothing.
2- Changed nothing.
3- Sometimes, it freeze and I am not able to reboot: the red DRAM led is alight. So, I press the MemOk! button (sometimes it takes several times) and it downclocks my DRAM frequency to 800 mhz, my DRAM timing to 9-9-9-24 and it only give me 4GB usable on 8GB. When I switch sticks side, I can now use 8GB (like before) but it is not solving the freezing problem.
4- When I test one stick at a time, I can pass the test without any problem. But when I try with both, it freeze at +/-96%.
5. I can pass these tests without any problem.

Now, it is still freezing (even if I run them at 1333 mhz, 9-9-9-24). Also, sometimes it freeze and I am not able to reboot (like I said before). When I try to reboot, I get a black screen with no signal and the DRAM led lights up. So, I run MemOk! and like I said, sometimes it downclocks my frequency to 800 mhz and only let me use 4GB of 8GB. I tried everything and I don't know what to do now (with my old RAM all was working fine).

Here is my config:

-Asus P7P55D
-i7 860 (2.8GHZ, 8MB of cache)
-Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB (1600 mhz, 7-8-8-24)
-Asus EAH4870 1GB
-Seagate Barracuda 500GB (7200RPM, 32MB of cache)
-Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB (7200RPM, 64MB of cache)
-Seasonic 550w

P.S. The freezings happen very randomly (sometimes it is when I am playing and sometimes when it boots). If I can make an average, it freeze at least 2-3 times a day and it won't boot at least once a day.

Thanks for your help!

Ok I contacted Corsair and they told me to contact Asus. I contacted Asus and they told me to RMA. This is a real **** it will take an eternity because my motherboard is quite old, I will waste my time and money to ship it and I lost money for my new RAM too (that is not working with my board). HUGE ****
