Unable to install ATI Driver

Last response: in Graphics & Displays

Hi Everyone

I Have a Toshiba satellite M70 recently my windows got corrupted due to a virus and i reinstalled windows xp sp3 after installation i surfed the web for drivers and downloaded drivers for display. i downloaded two display drivers. when i installed one of them and checked my graphic settings windows recognized "ATI graphic card" as "Intel chipset onboard VGA" although memory size is the same and one thing else the installation process was in Arabic. i guessed which option meant "yes" and which meant "no" and completed the installation process. on seeing the result i uninstalled it and accessed the second VGA driver file this one was corect as it has ati driver file, but when i ran it, it analysed the system said that there is no corresponding hardware and installation process aborted.

Guys help me out. What should i Do?

where did you download the drive from? check the toshiba official website....though i just checked it out for you but it did not have Satalite m70 model in the product list

I also checked Toshiba site but as you satd m70 wasn't listed there so i googled and these are these are the sites i downloaded drivers from

http://driverscollection.com/?H=Satellite%20M70%20%28PS...

and

http://www.laptop-software.com/toshiba/toshiba-satellit...

the second site contained driver whose installation was in arabic

usually m70 might be the model...but the code name might b different
for eg: i have a compaq...in front its written Presario f700....but underneath the laptop there is a sticker where the full model is written "F750EL"
so check underneath your laptop for the full model......
