ok what is your resoultion because for that budget i want to suggest a tri monitor setup (3 1080p monitors). it is really something amazing. ive seen it a few times in real life and it is really awesome.

can u list ur ssd, hdd, and speakers?

Silverstone RV02-BW- http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Steel-Computer-Window-RV02B-EW/dp/B004BDOGSO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1312733506&sr=8-4 178$

or

Silverstone Fortress- http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Aluminum-Uni-Body-Computer-CS-FT02B-W/dp/B0030MHEKY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1312733506&sr=8-5 240$ this is a mid tower case

both have better airflow than the 800d and are still all black with a window.

i7 2600k & P8P67 WS Revolution- http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.701066 535$-20$=515$

H60- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181015 70$ better cooler than the h50 for less.

Aftermarket fans for the h60- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103061 9$x2=18$ keeps it cooler and quieter

If this is a gaming build you will never need more than 8gb's of ram:
Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1866mhz ram- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233170 90$-10$=80$

Silverstone 1200w psu- http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-ATX12V-EPS12V-Supply-ST1200-G/dp/B004GGUATA/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1312734444&sr=1-1 256$
i would normally reccomend this psu though but it isnt back and blue- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341046&Tpk=zx1250

since the low amounts of 590's & 6990's im going to recommend 3 6970's they are a little bit more expensive than 2 580's but much more powerful- http://www.provantage.com/gigabyte-technology-gv-r697oc-2gd~7GIG90JA.htm 355x3=1065$

SSD - OCZ agility 3 120gb
HDD - Samsung spinpoint 1 tb x2
i have two monitors atm im getting another one for tri monitor exp

This is a gaming computer and 3d animation computer so the extra ram is needed

I'd rather stick to the nvidia side.. ill look into those cases see what has better airflow

1200w overkill? or needed? IM GOING FOR SILENCE on this build not mouse quiet tho

I'm more familiar with nvidia that's why. I'll change the PSU to something with more wattage. As for the case i'm
thinking on going with the silverstone RV02... The ram fan is more for looks :/ . Do you have any advice for silent fans for the RV02

well amd is winning value battle would you rather spend money on 3 6950's that beat out 2 580's for less or 2 580's? the 6970's just absolutely destroy the 580's for not much more. the fans on the raven are already silent, 18db. for your cpu cooler and fans put it at the back where there is no fans. really? the ram fan doesnt look that good :??:

Actually, I think that dual 580s would be better since they would take up less space, and produce less heat than 3 6950. Also, most games don't scale to well with 3 or 4 cards. In a multi monitor set up, Nvidia would also be cleaner since you can just use HDMI for all of them instead of mixing in display ports as well.

at higher resolutions multi gpu setups scale better. the silverstone raven has great airflow and those hd 6970's have a total of 9 fans on them (haha). cleaner? idk.... i think 1 display port wont make it messy.
