Hi folks-
I am getting random freezes that I can't really attach a cause to. These are "old-school" freezes where the system completely hangs. There is no BSOD, no restart, and I cannot move the mouse. The only way to get the computer back is a hard reboot. Usually around this time, the BIOS won't post and it takes 1-2 attempts to get past post. I have seen 1-2 BSODs, as well, but usually they are gone too quickly. I have done the following:

Move a stick of RAM to a different slot
Reinstall GPU drivers
System restore back to a known stable time
Updated to most current BIOS firmware

I am thinking it's a hardware issue due to some of the problems I'm having with POST. All of my temps are within acceptable ranges.

One other concern: This was my first system. I completely failed to use motherboard standoffs when I built it. Could this be caused by the mobo being in contact with the case? The system has been flawless for about 4-5 months, until this started happening.

I installed the standoffs and also applied some more thermal paste to the CPU. I got another random freeze, and now it won't post. I removed each of the RAM sticks (2x 2gb) trying to get it to post, but it still won't. No idea what to do, now...
