Hey guys!

Planning on building my first gaming rig at the moment, just need to ask a couple of questions.

the mother board im planning on using is this : ASUS P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 Motherboard

found here : http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1124769&CatId=6975&SRCCODE=LINKSHARE&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&AffiliateID=iFudSkud_Rc-Fr2RgpVkPJTrzC6A3wRRbA

Im just curious as to whether or not it supports SLI?

the rest of my rig is here :

CPU : I5 2500K
GPU : EVGA GTX 560 Ti 448 CLASSIFIED EDITION - SLI
PSU : Ultra LSP650 650-Watt

any advice would be much appreciated!

No, it won't. I have the LE (one step above the LX), but as far as SLI support goes, they're the same. It won't work because the second x16 PCIe slot only runs at x4 speed and SLI requires that all slots to be used be at least x8 speed.

Here's my recommendation for a great board (as good as the P8Z68-V LX quality wise, many more features and better for OC'ing) that can also SLI. ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
