Video card cut out

I have an HP Pavilion e9110t and my issue is with my ATI Radeon HD 4650 graphics card. The stock fan on it died so I bought an Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Pro to replace it. I've installed the new fan, however, after the first time I replaced the card, it didn't work and I got a "no signal" on the monitor. I took it out, adjusted the fan a little, make sure the connections were clean and replaced the card again. Now when I turn on the computer, it functions for about the first 30 seconds and then gives out again giving me no signal. Anyone have any ideas what's going on here?

  1. yeah, you should have just bought a new gfx card, would have cost the same as buying a new cooler for your old card. the card has a fault.
  2. That's what I figure I'll probably end up having to do it's just, a $20 fix was a lot nicer than, say, around an $80 fix (wont settle for anything less powerful than the 4650)
