$500+ Gaming Rig [Skyrim/D3]

Hey d00ds! I need some build advice for a friend's first homebuild that we'll be assembling together.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: By then end of the month if all goes according to plan.

BUDGET: $500 But we have some generous wiggle-room.

SYSTEM USAGE: We're building this to play Sykrim and Diablo 3. Looking for a good compromise between framerate and pretty graphics.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Already have KB/mouse and other sundry perhiphrials. OS and monitor will be a separate purchase not figured here.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg. They have great return/RMA policy.

OVERCLOCKING: Nope.avi

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Not on this build.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I'd like this rig to get a solid 2+ years out of it before we even need to think about opening it and upgrading.

  2. Rockin! Thank you, sir!
  3. You welcome. Also since it does have an AM3+ motherboard, you can upgrade to the new AMD Bulldozer CPUs as they come out late this year, early next year!
  4. That was my second question ;)
  5. Great upgrade path since AMD has the best price/performance ratio! I can't wait till Bulldozer comes out!
