Power supply

Hi there,I just got this pc.

power color radeon hd6850
8G ddr3
AsusM4n68T-m v2 mobo
Windows 7 64bit

now I am wondering if my power supply is good enough witch is a 500Watt I got with the case..

I had "i think" driver issues with my gfx card and still can't figure out why my card acts out after the catalyst and driver installation.they said the minimum power supply needed was a 500watt.


I can now buy this Proline 600W PSU, V2.2, 12cm Bottom Fan, Non PFC 180x140x86 20+4Pin Main, 1x 8Pin 12V, 5x Molex, 4x Sata, 1x 6Pin PCI-e but don't know if it will solf my gfx card problem.

The psu you have likely is way to weak for your system. A cheap 500w psu really only put's out 300-350w.

A Proline (never heard of it) 600w isn't going to be any better.

You get what you pay for.

First clue that it's complete garbage.

If it's not at least 80+ certified, you don't want it.
