Problem with my mobo

I got HP COMPAQ DC7700 SMAL FORM FACTOR PC with the same motherboard ( Q965 broadwater lga 775 socket )...
Yesterday i bought graphic card Ati Radeon HD6450 but its to big for mu SFF case...
My question is
Can i buy Midi Tower with 450w PSU, and just put those motherboard into it...thats so easy, i know, but i dont understand a point of those CUSTOM made motheroards...
My moto is atx, i think so, but custom made...

Is it too late to exchange the card for a low profile card? They come with both the normal and low porfile bracket.

Cant exchange because card isnt new one. I bought via web like ebay...card is used
