Need advise on upgrade

I need help on upgrading my PC. Most of the components are 3 years old except for the SSD which I got last year. I'm planning to upgrade the CPU to a Phenom II X4 965 3.4 ghz. The fastest CPU my board can handle is a phenom 970, but I don't think the extra 100 mhz is worth the extra 50 bucks.
Is my system still worth upgrading or should I be replacing the mobo, ram, and cpu? I'm still happy with my video card's performance, so I probably won't be upgrading it till next year. This PC is mostly used for gaming. Thanks for your input!!!

Id recommend getting the 955BE at $119 and just clock it up 200mhz and then you have a 965BE.

It'll be a significant upgrade.
