Hi, I would like to know if the Intel GMA X4500 is good for games. My motherboard is Asus P5G41C-M LX, with Integrated Intel GMA X4500 graphics
Maximum shared memory of 1G
Supports RGB with max. resolution 2048 x 1536 (@75Hz)
Supports Microsoft® DirectX® 10

Here's the link for complete specs..
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5G41...

Is the shared memory of 1G the video memory of the motherboard? Is it good for games?

By the way is Intel GMA X4500 good for playing Crossfire? because that's the game I play everyday. If can't play high end games then at least I can play Crossfire.

never heard about the game, but is it the one you were referring to?:

it seems that your integrated will play the game if you look at the game needed requirement but don't expect it will work like gloriously. go get a discrete graphic card if you really wants to play games

it depends how much ram you have in your system.
i beleive it uses ram just like some ati gpus use hyper memory.
correct me if i am wrong

not the same like hyper memory or turbo cache i believe. cards with hyper memory or turbo cache still have their own memory on the board. but IGP normally have none so they have to get the memory from the system's RAM.

it depends on how much total RAM you have in your system. if i'm not mistaken it can use up to 384mb (maximum) from the system RAM. i think you should be able to see how much it use if you run dxdiag. look under display tab
