Dual Monitors on a z68 motherboard

Hello,

I recently bought an Asus p8z68-pro mobo and a gigabyte gtx 460 1 GB. I am planning on using dual monitors, so I have two questions regarding that:

1) will two monitors disable the iGPU on z68?
2) Where would I plug the monitors in? I assume the video card rather than the mobo, but I just want to make sure.

Sorry if these questions are trivial, but it's my first build.
Thank you all in advance

Please take this with the caution that I do not have experience with this issue. But I believe that the monitors have to be plugged into the GPU card and that their use will not disable the iGPU (the iGPU in Virtu sends its data over the mobo PCIE bus to the video card).

I doubt that you would take any risk to your computer by trying this out, and please report back if it works.

Virtu works better when the monitors are in the discrete card for gaming. But since you have a 460, I doubt gaming is your primary use. So you could put one monitor in mobo and other in discrete so you don't have to run virtu to be able to use quick sync.
