Looking to update my system but not spend too much. Wondering if anyone has a suggestion of what to pair with my SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3? I'm a novice system builder.

The rest of my system:
Windows 7 64-bit
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W
OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 --> running at 800 I think because I don't know how to mess around the voltage in the BIOS
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Wolfdale 2.8GHz

Any help or suggestions at all is much appreciated. Thanks in advance :hello:

are you referring to crossfire? you will generally need the same kind of video card, in other words, another 4850, which will cost about $100

i would recommend holding onto it until you can replace it, since you cannot get directx11 with 4850s.

Yea I'm looking to run cards in crossfire, but I've read you can only do that with cards in the same HD XXXX series. Is there any way to make cards in different series work together?
