-------------EDITED for new question (on Aug 10th):-------------------

After more thinking I need help picking between two types of ram, three if one would hit the market (likely won't be out in time). I'll be buying 32gb for a photoshop multitasking build, likely all 4 sticks at once, so here are my choices:

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (9-9-9) CAS9 = $170+TAX after instant rebate

GeIL Black Dragon 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (9-9-9) CAS9 x2= $160+TAX

Ballistix Smart Tracer 16GB 240-pin DIMM DDR3-1600 (8-8-8-24) x2 = $?? (list is $200, found online for $130/16gb, I expect that to drop)

That last option doesn't seem to be available at any reputable retailers, the lowest was antarespro.com and it was still outrageous for 32gb ($266 :heink: )

I have one kind suggestion in the second post below but I was hoping for a bit more feedback now that I've narrowed it down to two (or three if anyone has info on new releases from Crucial!!) very similar selections. Buy.com or somewhere online said the Crucial part # has only been available for 1.5 months...

I'm very interested in aesthetics so obviously this is a difficult choice (discrete ram with pretty lights vs shiny anodized blue aluminum), and all sound reliable and similarly fast... (assuming real-world performance is indeed very close between 1333 and 1600mHz.

------------------/edit-------------------
I'm building a photoshop rig and I wanted to get 16gb of RAM with the possibility to upgrade to 32gb later, ideally so I can use a portion of my memory as a RAM Disk via ASRock's extreme6's built-in utilities. I'd be using the memory as a scratch disk, rather than my hard SSD or storage drive, the rest would probably get soaked up in multitasking and large photoshop documents.

I was looking at this memory but it's discontinued, but does anyone know anything more about it? I can't find it available anywhere and I like the specs and aesthetics. (could be a good reason for that though)
GeIL Black Dragon 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Here's the 1333 version I'm also considering, but I'm unsure how it would stack up against similarly priced G.Skill ripjaws series (linked below) since it is slower; I settled on 1600 for the performance vs price compared to other speeds and
GeIL Black Dragon 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10660)

Here's a set of ripjaws that seem good and clock faster @ 1600 for only $30 more, hence my hesitation about the GEIL sticks: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Thanks, Xaugerx26, I've found a deal that actually makes them very similar in price now for 32gb, and I've edited the original post in light of your help realizing I could benefit from as much feedback as possible. Thank you :)
