Will this setup be compatible?

I am planning on making my first computer and need to know if this will work... here is my plan-
ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
Kingston HyperX 8 GB (2x4 GB Modules)
Sapphire DIRT 3 EDITION Radeon HD 6950
...If you have any suggestions please tell me.

It is compatible.
Change your CPU to the Phenom II 965 BE and use the saved money to get a 6970.

this is for gaming... do you think the cpu will bottleneck the video card with that setup?

Nope. Also, 6 core is useless for gaming.

What about PSU? Brand? model?
Do not cheap out on PSU, it's the most important thing inside your PC.
