Very slow connection

Well heres my dilemma, my interenet connection is extremely slow. I am a gamer and I usually require a fast connection. I play World of Warcraft and usually have a great ping in game, but downloading speeds and buffering time for videos is extremely slow. I have a D-Link gaming router http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... and my network provide is AT&T. I'm hooked up via a Ethernet cord and I'm literally 3 feet away from my router. Can anyone give me any suggestions?
