Why are the two sata drives plugged into the SSD Caching connections on my Asus P9X79 Deluxe mobo appearing on my taskbar as ejectable SCSI devices?

Sounds like they are recognized as hot plug devices. If they are working properly, otherwise, then just ignore it.

COLGeek is right, it is because they are hot swappable. You can just ignore that bit of confusing system info because frankly it never made sense to me either as to why hot swappable drives need to classified this way.
