i have Acer aspire 5251 laptop, initially the battery on it before was bad so i bought a new battery tested and working so if i plug in charger and switch it on it will indicate that the battery is fully charge but when i disconnect the charger from power, immediately the laptop goes off as if there is no battery in it, what can i do. does that mean the problem is from the motherboard?

  1. Check and make sure all the battery contacts are there and in good condition otherwise its likely tha laptop has a daughter board which handles the power that needs to be looked at or replaced. This is often callled the power board or dc-dc controller.
