Installing new motherboard without re-installing windows

I have decided to get a new motherboard as my current one is lacking features and expansion, I will be going from an AM3 motherboard to another AM3, will i have to re-install windows?

In theory,no you don't need to reinstall. You just need to uninstall your old motherboard drivers(Chipset,VGA,LAN,Onboard audio etc...) and install the new ones.
Most people though would prefer a fresh windows install to ensure no leftovers of the old motherboard drivers. i personally prefer a fresh install !!
