Dark rock fan. contact with board and casr

Hi all

I have started to built my i5 2500k rig with a dark rock advanced fan. I mounted this on the board and then put it in the case.
However I saw that the backplate was very tight to the board and also when mounted touched the case I took it off for now to be on the safe
Side. I have a haf 922 case should I cut the metal to be on the safe side or just put it back in as don't fancy frying it.

Also is the backplate being tight on the board an issue.

Please help

  1. The instructions should tell you how tight it should be.

If the part touching the case is plastic, then you don't have to worry about electrical contact.
