Does it have to be Nvidia? Nonetheless.

Check out the $900 build here. It sould be plenty for your usage. I suggest 6950 2GB for Skyrim mainly at HD gaming it excels with the 2GB of VRAM, usually VRAM doesn't really matter, but the 6950 does pretty well at larger resolutions too.

For its price it's pretty crap. The Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 is cheaper and offers Tri-card capabilities for less. (Also giving you the ability to run 8x/8x and SLI, unlike the Asus's 16x/4x and inability to run SLI)
