My computer cannot detect my monitor

Hello, i bought a new computer yesterday and it was fix by the shopkeeper.. it was fine when they show me there.. but when i back home n try to connect with my monitor.. it wont work.. my monitor is LG W2242T, Sapphire radeon HD 5450 and my motherboard is Asus P8H61-M LX and cooler master casing n 460W CM PSU... but it cannot detect my monitor =(( anybody know what's went wrong? i tried to plug it to CRT, it dun work and monitor one oso dun work.. aaaa...

make sure you connect the cable to the graphics card. if you connect to the motherboard your computer will not work.
make sure all the cables are connected all the way in.

if not you may have to open computer up reseat the memory. sticks or switch them.
