So I got an alienware M15x in May 2010 and bought it with a GeForce 260M. The performance of the card isn't what I had expected. I'm forced to play games at much lower settings than I would like. I've read some other posts of people seeing degrading performance of the 260M over time, but no one had a solution to in.

So, I'm looking to upgrade my 260M to one of the following (prices are from a sales rep from dell):

ATI 5850 - $279.99
GTX 460M - $384.99
ATI 5730 - $209.99

The price isn't too big of deal - I can afford any of them. While I assume it exists, I couldn't find benchmark scores on the site for laptop cards - anyone have a link (or a recommendation for which card to buy)?

Thanks

That is extremely overpriced!!!!!! lol

But I think a 5850 would do you good. The GTX 460 probably wouldn't give you much for $100.

Actually,460M is faster than 5850M.(460M is comparable to 5870M)

I do know that, but IMO, not worth the $100's more. But hey, if OP has the money, then go with 460m.
