Windows xp not resuming

Hi my laptop went into the resuming windows window without me doing anything and won't continue it freezes about a quarter of the way and none of the function keys work, please help

You'll most probably need to recover or restore it to the last best know configuration by going into the Windows Advanced Boot Menu. Press F8 while booting.

Hello all,
I had exactly the same problem.

What I done to fix it was.

Took the HDD out and connected it to another computer and then renamed the file Hiberfil.sys to Hiberfil.sys.old and then stuck it back into my Toshiba Laptop. Windows booted first time, everythings working great.
I then turned off Hibernation to stop it happening again.
