hi,
i've recenttly build up my new system box w/ the following specifications:

AMD Phenom II 965 BE w/ stock fan/heatsink
Radeon HD6770 Vapor-x
Gigabyte 880GM-USB3L
Seagate 1TB HDD
HP 24x speed dvd-r
ATX 550W psu
Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit
Geil 4gb DDR3
Power logic mid-tower case with 1 intake fan

I'm worrying on the temps im getting, im using coretemp to monitor my temperatures and at idle i get temps of 38C-42C,at medium load it gets up to 45C-53C but when playing games (high performance game like cod:mw2, The Witcher 2 and Dirt3) on high settings, i get up to 60C-71C, the so far highest recorded temp is 71C.

Are these temps safe or is it too much high?
Do i need to replace the stock heatsink & fan?

Appreciate to receive helps sooner..

Almost any aftercooler market are better than stock cooler, Hyper 212+ is a great one if you ask me.
Anyway, you can try re-apply the thermal paste and make sure all components aree free from dust, see what temps do you get after that...
