Can I upgrade a Satillite B940 to an i5 or i7?

I am getting a Toshiba Satellite C675-S7200 which has a B940 in it. Since the socket is the same, I was interested in getting an i5 or i7 CPU off of eBay and upgrading it. Will the BIOS handle this? Is this a simple hardware upgrade or is it doomed to fail?

Nathan, Do I think it is possible to upgrad the CPU on this laptop? Yes I think that you will be able to do. Do I think that you are going to be able to put a Intel® Core™ i5 or Intel Core i7 processor in it? I really don't know. You are going to have to check with Toshiba what this laptop's motherboard will support for a processor upgrade along with the cooling handle a more robust processor like an Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7.
