Hi

I have bought the Asus EAH6850 Graphics Card and I'm wanting to run dual monitors (with different things on each screen, not a copy). I haven't started building the PC yet as not all my parts have arrived. My motherboard doesn't have onboard graphics.

Any ideas on the best way to do this? From what I can see this graphics card won't support what I require however I could just be reading it all wrong ? :)
I'm pretty new to all this so any info would be much appreciated.

This is my card:

and these are my two monitors:

Thx!

Your video card can do it without anything but maybe a converter if you have a VGA cable.

A splitter would not work with an extended desktop, as it'll just send the same signal to two monitors. I believe the Displayport may be able to send 2 signals.

Thanks Bystander!

I think my card might only have one output that can be used with my monitors. Do you know if a splitter cable would be necessary or one of those USB to Monitor adapters ?

Thanks!

Thanks for your help again. I managed to get it working with a DVI-D cable from each output on the Card to my monitors. The Cards software managed the extension to two desktops.
