Does anybody know when to expect DDR systems from the likes of Gateway, etc?
I've got the green light from the spouse to purchase a new system. I'm leaning towards an AMD system and after reading about the new DDR systems, I'm thinking I should wait until those are available.
Of course, I'm itching to get something now, before the end of the year.
Folks think I should wait or just get something now?
If it comes to "get a state of the art system today", the P IV systems, I'm assuming, most folks would say to shy away from, if for nothing else b/c they are new to the market. I'm also not keen on paying a massive premium to bump up the RAM to 512 MB.
Open to all thoughts, ideas, suggestions, opinions, etc.
If folks have recommendations for systems outside of the "typical" ones, I'm open.
