Yes the AMD Radeon HD series graphics cards are all compatible as long as you remain within the series (i.e. 68XX and 68xx or 69xx and 69xx), this however is not true with NVidia cards which require exact same model and manufacturer.

not exactly. you can mix the brand but you must use the exact model as your other one in SLI.
