I have the Asus rampage 3 formula with some sort of onboard X-Fi sound, but I have noticed in device manager that several things show up in audio devices and none of them say X-Fi.. Have I even been using the suppose to b decent onboard x-fi that came with the R3F? Any thought on this or suggestions for the best $100 discrete out there is appreciated. I use sennheiser hd 558 headphone and USB mic for gaming mainly.

There ought to be nothing there other than creative stuff. Is this the mobo with the XFi in the PCIe X1 Slot or is this the newer revision with the XFi Chip fused on the Mobo?
If it the PCIe one then disable any other Audio Chip that's onboard in the BIOS and if it's the one with the Chip Infused on the Mobo then let the onboard options stay enabled.
