Computer locking up.....can it be CPU overheating? Tags: CPUs Computers World Of Warcraft Last response: November 10, 2011 7:19 PM in CPUs Share ICN3D November 10, 2011 6:15:25 PM A couple of weeks ago my computer locked up while playing WOW. Nothing worked, so I shut it down and restarted 10 seconds later. Then, I think it was the next day it did it again. I downloaded a GPU temp monitor to see if maybe a fan was broke or something. Fastforward to today and it just did it again. The temp gauge was at around 48 dagrees so it's not he vid card. Any ideas on what it could be? Also, does anyone know any good CPU temp monitors? I wanna check and see if the CPU is overheating. If it's not the temperature then it's probably something hardware related.
