I have an Asus P877-V LX motherboard and when I go to the BIOS, I see the mouse cursor. I can only move the cursor from side to side. It wont' go up or down. Does anyone have the same motherboard I do? I haven't updated the BIOS. I don't want to take a chance and mess it up. Also, I have 1600mhz RAM, but it clocks it at 1333. If I change the RAM frequency, the PC won't even post. It'll keep rebooting over and over at the start. I have Corsair DDR3 dual channel RAM that is listed on the manual as one of the ones tested. It does this, too, with my old triple channel RAM.

try another mouse or usb port. some usb device have issue with older asus bios til lyuo update the bios. for the ram you dont change the ram speed. in the dram settings in the bios set the dram from auto to xmp.
