Hello,
I'm having the GRAPHIC CARD - PowerColor HD5550 1GB DDR3
http://powercolor.com/us/products_features.asp?id=250

I'm planning to upgrade Processor, Motherboard and Ram.

I have checked few of the things and which I would like to have some suggestion on the same.

I'm planing to have a Gaming System.

I choose a processor - AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819103808

Motherboard - I'm confused in this part which to choose. However, checked few things.

ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131767

Gigabyte AMD 785G Motherboard Price

http://www.priceindia.in/computer/ [...] sor-ready/

RAM - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231193

I also wanted to know if the is it required to buy any CPU cooler specifically or will the stock will just do fine.

Alos, is there any particular SMPS I should look for.

I know this a lot for asking, please suggest me to have a better and satisfying gaming PC.

I haven't mentioned any thing about the budget., but would like to get all of this in 12000 - 12500 INR. i.e $240.

Thanks a lot guys.

You will not be satisfied. The Radeon 5550 underperforms most modern cheap integrated solutions. If you are spending money, upgrade your graphics card. No matter what components you have in your computer now, only upgrading your video card will give you better performance.

-Stock cooler is fine, otherwise it would not be supplied with the processor lol (unless you plan on overclocking or live in the desert without A/C)
-Seasonic makes the most reliable power supplies. Note that several other brands, including corsair, have seasonic make their power supplies
-I am unaware of pricing in India, but based on your conversion, you cannot get the system you are propositioning for $240 at current US prices.
-I recommend you tell us what your current system is. Complete specs. My recommendation after this will be spending most of your money on a new video card, and I will recommend other minor tweaks or upgrades to improve the rest of your system at a low cost.

You should be able to get an M4xxxx motherboard from Asus for cheaper than the one you chose with the same capabilities from your point of view. Something like an M4N68T-M LE V2. Many places give those things away for free with processors.

The RAM is fine, but you may want to instead get 2x2 instead of 1x4. 2x RAM sticks generally performs better than 1x, but you are screwed upgrading later because you have to trash both to upgrade instead of just buying the same thing you already have 1x of and shoving it in slot 2. In any event, its your choice how you go on that. If you plan to use Windows 7 and plan to get another one just like the 1x4 you already picked, then stick with that until you get the 2x 4s.

What it really comes down to is probably less money now and better performance until upgrading and more money later VS more money now, worse performance till upgrading and less money at upgrade time.

CPU, nobody can fault that choice of CPU. It is a solid pick. That being said, it is probably too much in your case. You can get a Phenom 2 x4 840 for about $50 with a stock cooler that will handle things well enough and save $70 for a bigger video card.

Spending an extra $70 on the video card instead of the processor will make a huge difference in gaming. The +70 on video card setup will blow away the +70 on processor setup.

If you take my suggestions so far, you have maybe $100 on everything.

I don't know what PSU you have already, but I am going to go out on a branch here and assume it is good enough for the final product so none of the $240 needs to go towards a new PSU.

That would mean you can afford to go as high as $140 for a video card. If so, the best thing you can get for that is going to be a HD 6850 video card, assuming you have black friday in India. They are regular about $150, but in the holiday season they should be available somewhere for $10 less.

You may even be able to get a HD 6870 for $140 or less too (normal $160) which would be slightly better.

There is a really slim chance you may see a GTX 470 getting down to $140 as well so it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on that card as well.

All 3 of those cards will so completely dominate the 6770 and the 5670 that you chose in FPS that my suggested build will likely have a +50% FPS or more on pretty much every game out there.

^I would love a link to that magical place. Considering you can't even get an Athlon II x2 new for that price. The lowest I can find a new 840 is $90 USD. Unless you were talking about some other $ currency.
The 840 lacks L3 cache. it is a 3.2GHz athlon IIx4. This would have been a better pick than the 955 due to flexibility:

But that doesn't matter anymore since you have your parts and they are all solid.

Anyway, if you haven't found a card yet, whichever card you pick in your pricerange will likely perform accordingly. Get an Nvidia card if you care about PhysX. I can't do any research myself unless you link me to the sites you might order from.

Maybe it is a MicroCenter thing, but I got a Phenom 2 x4 840 with a stock cooler and a motherboard for free with it for $60.

That was a while ago too, a year and change I think.

They have really good deals on processor/motherboard bundles in general, though.

If people don't live close to a MicroCenter I guess it could be more difficult. I haven't shopped for this processor online so I don't know the prices there.
