The memory controller tops out at DDR3 2200MHZ. So that RAM is within limits of the controller.

But sometimes, populating all the slots with the maximum number of sticks of the fastest memory the board can handle, may cause errors if the RAM isn't on the board's QVL.

Yes, but that will only work in dual channel mode. However that memory is rated at the same voltage as your board defaults to: 1.5V So it will work with no voltage adjustments.

The previous triple channel memory you selected will probably need you to increase the memory voltage in the BIOS for it to be stable, since the RAM is rated at 1.65V.

Ideally, you'd want to find triple channel memory rated at 1.5V if you just want to pop it in and go.

Do you have the board's manual? If not download it from the Gigabyte site and go to page 17 for memory instructions.
