Hello,

I want to update my current graphic card "Nvidia 8800", what do you recommend ?

Current Rig
Mobo: GA-P55-UD3L
Cpu: i5 760
PSU: 750watts Silver Stone
Ram: x2 DDR3 4.0gb/1600 Kingston
OS: Windows XP Home Edition

Do you think the addition of the new graphic card will allow me to play new MMORPGS " Rift, Star Wars, Diablo3, Guildwars2" with decent performance ?

Also, is it possible to consider a graphic card that i can use now and in future if i upgraded my system to a sandybridge and Sli or Crossfire compatible one ? "I can buy the new CPU/Mobo in October"

The price of this graphic card is no issue.

Thanks!

At 1920 x 1200, the best bang for the buck is the factory OC'd 560 TI's:

$220 EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 560 1GB

Two of them rock ....175% scaling in SLI = 49 fps in Metro 2033 at full settings..... which at $440 is pert damn good compared to the $500 GTX 590's 33 fps

AT 2560 x 1600, I'd get the 2GB 6950 or 6970.

I'm looking forward to Diablo 3 too!

You have plenty of power to run any single (processor) card you want so if you can afford it, go with the top.

Nvidia 580 GTX or AMD 6970 are the top cards. However, if you upgrade your mobo, you'll need a new power supply to SLI GTX 580, so take that in consideration, but I don't think you'd need to SLI for a long time, so it's kind of inconsequential.

What resolution to you play at? Also, though price is no issue, the Nvidia card is $130 more than the AMD card when comparing flagship cards.

JackNaylorPE: His current motherboard only supports Crossfire, not SLI. In the future, if he buys a new mobo, then it's not an issue, but your suggestion doesn't work for the "now".

Well iam willing to buy the best available for now and future use "Or maybe there is better GPUs releasing soon and i should wait ?"

Though its not my intention to"Buy expensive because expensive" rather it is " Buy expensive because performance". So if you think a cheaper AMD is better than a more expensive GTX please tell me, Iam all for performance.

Also the PSU is no issue too. if I need a better one in the future for Crossfiring/Sling ill buy one.

Thanks!
