HI i just bought a radeon x1300 and when i hook it up the screen is a white blank colour how can i get it to work

X1300 in modern day times is a bit weird. That is quite an outdated technology. Anyways post you config and we'll see.

Don't worry there is always a first time.

If you have the motherboard box lying around somewhere it would be on it. Some motherboards do have a the model number printed on the motherboard itself. So check these.

The specs say it does not have any AGP slots.

X1300 Pro is available in AGP and PCI models. Which one did you get. Check the box of the card. All the info would be there.

Ok. Do one thing... Take the card out, hook the display to the motherboard, like you did when you did not have the card. Boot, go into BIOS and see what is the default display is. If it is IGP then change it to PCI and then save and exit. Shut down the PC and put in the card and then boot and see if it works.

BIOS is not related to operating system. Just when you boot, keep pressing DEL key and you would end up in the BIOS. But terminologies i mentioned may differ on your BIOS, you just have to make sense of what they mean.

If yes... check the onboard devices section or video. All BIOS are different in their appearance and the terms they use for the same thing. Cant really say for sure coz i never used Dell expect for my office.
