I am looking for a case and having a lot of trouble finding exactly what I need:
-fits ATX motherboard
-5 expansion slots minimum (e.g. support xfire/sli)
-bottom mount PSU
-has room in the side for a 120mm, 140mm, 200mm fan, that is actually mounted alongside the graphics card, e.g. right above the PSU (this is the hard part!)
-Room behind mobo tray for cable management.
The number of 5 1/4 or 3 1/2 bays are NOT important - I have a single HDD and a 2.5" SSD.
I am almost at the point of buying an matx board instead as there are HTPC cases that fit the bill in that market. But I'd rather not waste time buying another mobo and selling mine; also, I currently have a tall cooler (Megahalems) that I'd rather not replace.
To give you an idea of where I'm coming from - I have an NZXT phantom. It's great, except the 200mm fan in the side is way too high - barely anything blows over the graphics cards. PLUS the nzxt 200mm doesn't fit with a tall cooler (it would if the 200mm fan was over the cards!)
Anyone have any ideas?
