Hello, I'm looking to build a HTPC finally, and put together the following build. Just looking for some thoughts:

Intel Core i3-2100T $135
Intel DH67CFB3 Mini-ITX $130
CORSAIR XMS3 2GB DDR3 1333 $18
OCZ Vertex 2 SSD 60GB $99
Wesena ITX7 Case $99 (<-- SMALL W/ BUILT-IN IR RECEIVER!)
Sony BC-5640H BD-ROM (part of case) $140
IR Receiver & RC260 Remote (part of case) $20
120W 24 pin PSU & AC/DC cord $65
Ality WeeBoard $79
Windows 7 x64 Home Premium $95
Total Home Theater 5 $99

All storage would be linked up to my Windows Home Server running in a VM on my i7 920/6GB RAM, and I have a Logitech Harmony Remote as well so i should be able to train it with the RC260 remote... just using the Ality WeeBoard in case i want to do PC stuff.

Also, I would have a TV Tuner be the HDHomerun PRIME (3-tuner) network-based tuner.

If you are going to go intel, you will need discrete graphics. What resolution output are you looking for? Do you need 3D support?

^Why would intel require discreet graphics? Its integrated HD2000 can play all media, including 3D blu-ray. If gaming, then a discreet card would be called for.

OP-> you can get TMT5 cheaper than full price. They issue coupon codes every holiday, and have a constant '404 error' coupon code that will get you 20% off.

If you look at the benchmarking, A8 Llano outperforms intel from a graphics performance perspective.

It would be intersting to look into making a A8 based system.
