oh i see. i heard somewhere on the forum reason that 1 & 3 are better because its physically closer to the mobo cpu or something like that lol. but i guess in this case with sabertooth z77 2 & 4 is the way to go. Thank you for your input!

Every Asus board that I know of (mine included) recommends slots 2 and 4 (A2 and B2) when you're only using two modules. Don't know WHY that is, but I'm not gonna argue with it.
