oh i see. i heard somewhere on the forum reason that 1 & 3 are better because its physically closer to the mobo cpu or something like that lol. but i guess in this case with sabertooth z77 2 & 4 is the way to go. Thank you for your input!
Every Asus board that I know of (mine included) recommends slots 2 and 4 (A2 and B2) when you're only using two modules. Don't know WHY that is, but I'm not gonna argue with it.
that's even better no need to worry about the HSF touching the ram or clearance issues no need to buy low profile rams and save a couple bucks
