Evga 560ti DS

question of the day goes to me !!!

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=60803

its a evga 560ti DS edition (two fans) i was wondering if i were to buy 2 of these and sli it with a corsair 750, would it get enough power?

the main issue has to deal with will they be able to handle dual monitors.. one 47LD520 (47" tv) and a acer 22"

while playing a game such as BFBC2 or metro 2033??

the reason im asking this question is because i have a msi 570 atm.. and its been RMAd 3 times... and im fed up with it and personally dont trust it. its crashing all the time.. and ive done everything to try and fix it .. so its going back...

in short will 2 of these cards work for what i want?? the screen res is 1920- 1080p and i want the graphics jacked in-game.

  1. Yes you should have enough power for a GTX560ti SLI.And a GTX560ti SLI should have no problem handling a dual monitor setup.

    Whats your full system specs?(CPU/RAM/etc.)

Not only do both those games require a good GPU but they also require a very fast CPU.
  2. sorry about that,.. how stupid of me to not post that...

    specs are below
    Intel Core i7 920 Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHz Bloomfield 8MB 4.8GT/S OC 3.8GHz
    ASUS P6X58D-E X58 ATX LGA1366 6GB/S
    G Skill -6 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 (8-8-8-22 f 609 MHz)
    MSI 570/OC
    Acer [22" LCD]
    2x WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200RPM 4.2MS 32MB
    SB 7200.12 500GB SATA2 3.5IN 8.5MS 7200RPM 16MB
Cooler Master Haf 932 Full Tower
    Coolermaster V8 CPU Heatsink Cooler
    Corsair Professional HX750W 750W ATX
    Scythe Kaze Master fan controller
(added a couple diff fans.. n lights.. n a dvd multi recorder..)

so basically using two of these cards wont be a problem at all... lol
  3. Your processor seems fast enough to handle both the SLI setup(no bottleneck) and BFBC2.But don't be surprised if you can't max out Metro2033.
  4. well i was maxing out metro 2033 with my msi 570/OC... but when i played BFBC2 it would crash and give me pixilated squiggly lines.. then id have to hardboot .. so yea.. i dont trust my msi anymore..

on that note.. if the one msi 570 can handle metro.. then 2 evga 560tis.. should be able to handle it no problem ??
  5. Here's some benchmarks of the GTX560ti SLI in Metro2033 and BFBC2.You should know that the CPU they used for the tests was an i7 965 @ 3.8ghz.

    Metro 2033

    BFBC2

These benchmarks are from when they first came out so i'm sure with the new drivers they perform better.

It depends on what "playable fps" is to you. Some don't mind playing in 30's.I can't stand it being any lower than 50.

In terms of performance the GTX560ti SLI should do much better. You can see in that benchmark that the GTX560ti SLI even outperformed the GTX580.
  7. hmmm ok looking at that... the msi 570.. should handle BFBC2 with no problems at all..... wow.. ok.. ... essentially.. i could just buy one of these GTXx560's and itll run liek a dream... but 2 is always better :D

well with waht you jsut said there.. with metro 2033 .. i could essentially turn the anti aliasing down.. and itll run above 50 fps..

i would hope that 2 560's would beat one 580 :D hehehe;p ty for your input i appreciate it
  9. hey i got another one for yeah stank..... would i be better off getting two 560's or one 580... ..

i bring this one up because im not sure when the next time i will upgrade ?? i guess thats another question.. if i get 2 560's .. about how long till il need to upgrade?
