Having problem connecting laptop to network with static IP settings. Internet works OK. Cannot reach any network drives or printers. Uninstalled Client for Microsoft Windows but when went to install cannot find the .inf file. Where can I get this so I can reinstall?

Go to Control Panel>Network Connections and double click the relevant connection then go to Properties. Client for Microsoft should be top of the list and if it isn't, click to install it. It's worth checking in Services for RPC to make sure it's set to Automatic and is started. Go Start then Run and ype in services.msc then hit Enter to see the list.
