Cheapest x16/x16 motherboard for 1155 SLI?

Okay I seen alot of ASUS P67's for 80$ and was like wow thats cheap for SLI, but they only run 8x/8x.

What do you guys know that is the cheapest (But reliable) SLI board that runs x16/x16 in SLI?

Doesnt have to have PCIE 3.0 though.

Last question, is the extra money for x16/x16 worth it? or is really 8x/8x about the same?

  1. a ivy bridge cpu with PCI 3.0 x8,x8 is the same as pci 2.0 x16, x16.

    still there is really no measurable frame rate difference between x8 and x16.
  2. "is the extra money for x16/x16 worth it? or is really 8x/8x about the same?"

    The performance increase from x16/x16 is negligible. Save 100 and get a x8/x8 setup.
  3. Yep, the difference is couple of frames ....
  4. So a cheap 80$ Asus P67 will still do a good job at SLI? :D

    U can definitely use this one -> ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 -> ... Latest Z77...

    I just build PC with this mobo and I like the BIOS, its looks like this.

    Works as expected @ 4.4GHz

    That is a great mobo choice for the CPU. It has good power design for OC.
