I want to know if I should buy a new card or get another Sapphire HD 5770 1GB and CF.

Date: Now - October(Want a new one or CF another before BF3)
Price: $200-$250
Current GPU/PSU: Sapphire HD 5770 1GB - Xclio 500W
CPU, RAM, MOBO: AMD Phenom II X4 - Gskill Ripsaw 1333 8GB - Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H
Preferred Website to buy from: Newegg(Usually next day delivery since I'm so close to one of their warehouses) or Amazon, anything with good delivery.
Parts Preferences: I like ATI, been using it for years, but anything that is reliable, powerful and has a good price will do.
Overclocking: No, Crossfire possible.
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Information: Like I said above, I have 1 Sapphire HD 5770 ATM. It runs things good but not as good as I would like. With the newer games coming like BF3, most particularly, I doubt my single card will do what I want it to do for that game. So would it be better for me to buy a new card for $200-250 or buy another card just like mine and CF it?

Current Card - Sapphire Radeon HD 5770

Looking at - MSI R6870 Twin Frozr II

Let me know if you need to know anything else. And TYIA

I think you should buy a new one.The 6870 is a good card but if you could spend some more and buy the 6950 it you be perfect.Because you play on high resolution screen and want to play new and demanding titles i think it's the best option.

If you prefer ATI the 6870 is a decent choice especially the MSI twin frozr, that cooler is excellent.

For the $250 price point though it is really hard to argue with the GTX 560ti. The 6950 is almost $100 more than you're looking to spend, but if you're absolutely set on ATI I would save the extra an go for that, if you're looking to run a game like BF3 with high settings. If its anything like BFBC2 which still gives some systems a hard time, you might be better off with the extra graphics oomph.

^6950 for 350$? It's probably 6970. 6950 is around the same price as 560Ti and is 10% faster. OP: for 200-250$ i highly recommend 6950, because:

it is faster than 560Ti
1GB versions are cheaper *and are as fast as 2GB versions* than 560Ti
it is very fast and can max out any game @ 1080p
low power consumption
good CF scaling *6950CF is as good as a lot more expensive 570SLI!*
EDIT: it can also unlock shaders so it's like a more expensive and faster 6970 (1GB models too) !
