Hi,

I'm having trouble choosing a CPU configuration for a new workstation (running Revit 2012, 3DS Max, AutoCAD; Adobe CS5.5, etc). Can someone let me know which of these two options would be likely to give better performance? The single E5620 is about 350$ more expensive.

My choice is between two x Xeon E5603 1.60ghz or a single Xeon E5620 2.4Ghz.

Thanks!

This is a late response, but maybe it'll help others who are also considering it. I just bought a workstation that has dual E5603's. They are only okay. Spend the extra money, and make sure you get processors that have hyperthreading. The E5603 is does not support hyperthreading.
