Razer Boomslang's - Are they worth it?

I was thinking about getting a Razer Boomslang but I want to know if it is worth it. I know they are supposed to have 2000dpi (in the version I would buy), but what is the difference in having the high DPI, or just turning up my mouse sensitivity?

You would mostly notice the difference when working with really fine movements, such as the type when doing photoediting. Otherwise, if you're happy with the way things are now, why change?
